PTW architects in Sydney asked ID/Lab to develop the wayshowing strategy and design the signage for the new Adult Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit (AAMHIU) in Canberra. The unit will provide specialised care and treatment for mental health |
consumers who require short-term intensive therapeutic intervention. Part of the strategy development was researching how people with a mental illnessreact to the use of certain colours and shapes. |
Based on the outcome of this research we designed the signage with colours and shapes that tie in with the themes of the interior design at each wing. |
